It's a good thing most criminals are fairly stupid, otherwise many crimes would go unsolved.

"There are some pretty stupid criminals around, but to leave your own name at the scene of the crime takes the biscuit."

Takes the biscuit. Never heard that one before, but then, I don't read much from the BBC. :)

Maybe they call cakes biscuits.

I wouldn't bet that the criminals were sober at the time of perpetration.

Biscuits are kinda like cookies, lots of different types.

The first time I read that I saw 'penetration'

Thats about as stupid as the criminals that go to the police when they get robbed on a drug deal.
"Officer I gave him 20.00 for some cocaine and he gave me baking powder"

where's the evidence apart from his name?

i mean im sure there is evidence, but they make it seem like if i were to break into a building and write my best friends name and his 'gang' he would get arrested.

I don't think they need a lot of evidence if you plead guilty.
