Yawn. Extinction is part of the natural cycle of life.

Extinction caused by humans isn't quite so natural. And we have done a lot of extincting (new word of the day 😉)

What?? The name of the species is a "Black Rhino". . .

and the white rhino: not extinct = racist

It's not really a white rhino. The Dutch word for "Wide" was misinterpreted as "White". The rhino was supposed to be called the Wide Rhino because of it's wide lips.

Now you know...and knowing is half the battle. G.I JOOOOOOOOOOEEE!

Another job well done by humans. I wonder when we'll nuke ourselves to extinction.

Not before we destroy the earth beyond repair.

haven't we pretty much already done that?

nah, if we all killed ourselves asap the earth would eventually recover.

Anybody else want to start an agency to hunt poachers to extinction? We could get all the countries around the world who are interested in species conservation to contribute funds for equipment and modest salaries for personnel.

Count me in 😀

Sure it is. We are animals just like any other. Oh, and proof?

I can say that I don't really care about some animal I've never seen. Now if the cow becomes extinct, then I'll care.

So put some in a zoo. Bada bing never extinct.

Seriously though, this happens in nature. You can't save everything as we have proven so many times, and some things just won't die (i.e. pigeons).

Read the fine print guys that was one subgroup of Black Rhinos. It's still sad and it sucks that humans do this but there are still some black rhinos left....lets hope we dont wipe out anymore subgroups...
