Well, to make the long story short, I took my brother swimming. This is the third time in 5 days that I've taken him BTW. Well, we go, and since we bike there (neighborhood pool), as we leave the garage I tell him I don't feel like going. Surprisingly, he doesn't complain or something, he just starts going back in, I told him I was just kidding at that time. I began to type the password in the keypad to close it and he was almost out of it since he started to go back in. He got scared and coming back out, he fell on the ground. He cried.... said he didn't want to go... the usual 10 year old crap I have to live up to.

Anyway, he ends up going and when we get to the pool we have fun for like 2 hours throwing a key chain thats rubbery and seeing who can get to it first. We did a few other things among that too. In the 3rd hour, one of his friends showed up and I then just swam around back and forth in the pool. One time, I accidentally ran into him not seeing him, and then, that too, not very hard. He was still on his feet since tripping in the pool is pretty hard.

We get home, he claims I pushed him so hard he almost drowned... remember, 10 year old, has no clue what drowning is or even ever fell in a lake or something from a dock like I have... and then he told them about the garage door thing which was meant to be a joke but he got scared too easily.

So for even the smallest things, he has to tell on me. The odd thing is, I hardly ever tell on him. So, whats my punishment? I can't use the computer tomorrow and Monday. Its not that big of a deal, but the fast is that he has to tell on even the slightest things and my parents punish me for it.

Heck, I've been wanting some black vinyl paint for my cd drive to match with my Antec Sonata and they w on't even get me that because they want me to earn it by taking him swimming everyday, teaching him how to make a website, do this 4th grade prep book, etc.

Oh well.... 3 more years and I'm off to college...

Well if you know your little brother is like that, then don't joke around with him... don't give him a chance to tell on you...

As for the computer thing, too bad, their roof their rules... It's only 2 days anyways...

edit: or i suppose you could take your punishment like a man, little brothers will be little brothers, not much you can do about it.

Quit your bitchin'. My sister's boyfriend's sister completely fabricates sh!t about him all the time. 10 year olds are like that, get over it.

Little brothers and sisters a pain in the ass some of the time. Just take it like a man and don't give the brat a reason to rat on you again.

I have an 11 year old sister, I've learned that physical punishment is better. She always starts fights, so I usually play around with her then she gets real angry and goes beserk. That's when I layeth the smacketh down. She usually goes back up to her room or something and if she ever tries to get me in trouble for something she started, she knows she'll be paying for it the next day :)

Just you wait... they become even more obnoxious as they get older. Girls are even worse (don't get me started about how my cousin used to be) so suck it dow and do yor best... but really mess him up when he steps way out of line. My bro did that once and I messed him up real hard, got grounded for a month but he never gave me any problems again so the long term gains were worth the short term inconvenience. NOTE: I don't actively endorse you to get out the heavy tools, especially after I (at the age of 6) got whacked by the kid next door when he tried to teach me respect for his sorry little ass (he was 10)... problem was he used a snowshovel, I still have the scar on my left eyebrow (oh yeah, did i mention the dumba$$ was canadian ;)?)

Screw your brother. Get a job (bag boy, caddy, fast food, etc.) and pay for your own case paint.

My brother is a few years younger than me. Back in high school he started wrestling and got pretty large from working out all of the time. I myself, did not at the time. Well, he had his gf over one day and really started running his mouth trying to show off. He made some smart @ss comment about him kicking my @ss. Without hesitation I pounced him and proceeded to give him the beatdown of his life, in front of his gf to boot. This only made him try harder, and me laugh harder at his frustration.

After that though, all was well. You just hafta teach them there place. My bro' is now a force recon Marine and could easily kill me with one hand, but he won't. Establish the pecking order now before it's too late.

You don't sound like you're much older than 10 yourself.

Growing up my little brother would do stupid things and I would always get the blame because I'm the older brother who's suppose to be watching him even if I was away at camp or just hanging out with my friends.

Now I talk to my family only at x-mas :D

My 10 year old sister used to tell everyone that I'm gay... ho boy it used to get really uncomfortable when my parents friends come over, until I figured out what she was doing. Quickly educated her on the fine art of a smackdown and she stop... I think?
