It's should've had the maps already installed.

Have you tried pluging into the computer and installing TomTom HOME?
Then go to File / Use Latest Map Guarantee. If that doesn't work you might have to call TomTom support.

Might also check out TomTomForums.com.


After checking over at tomtomforums, you could also try pressing the reset on the bottom.

it not accesing the maps seems to be a problem on the tomtom 1 LE. had to update it and download them.

sucha pain.but got it working now.
