He has a A-DATA 6gbps sata 3 ,, 128GB ssd gets 7.5 WEI score
shouldnt it be at least 7.7
In hd tune it transfers over 335 mbps
Should I turn off superfetch and prefetch and readyboost and readyboot etc..
Your WEI score is whatever comes in as the lowest. You can bet your HDD score is not 7.5...but depending on your DDR3 speed or your video card the scores for either of them could easily be a 7.5, thus making your WEI score a 7.5.
this. the WEI points out your system's limiting factor. as for HDD's, as far as i've seen they max out at 5.9
More for the simple reason that if they used one continuous scale for both variants HDDs would come out much, much worse. If we give random r/w, sequential r/w all the same weight, SSDs are maybe 50% faster in sequential r/w, but order of magnitudes for random r/w - so instead of getting 33% better ratings, it'd be more like HDDs 0.2 and SSDs 10.I heard Microsoft forced all mechanical drives to score a 5.9 and below for SSD marketing.
