I continue to struggle w/ getting my computer audio issue solved. I have a uDac 5 (digital analog converter) rather than a conventional sound card. My external pair of speakers (2.0) are connected to the DAC as well as my PC360 Sennheiser headset. We use the speakers when the wife is not home and the headset when she is. I disconnect the headset from the DAC when I use the speakers.
In 'playback' devices in Windows sound properties, it lists speakers as default device with the name 'uDac5'. Also listed under 'playback devices' is 'digital audio (S/PDIF)' not checked as default. Under 'recording devices', it says 'microphone not plugged in', and it is greyed out.
When my son and I play Battlefield 1 online/multiplayer and attempt to use the chat program 'Discord' with our clan-mates, we hear them chatting but they do not hear us.
If anyone has some ideas, then please let me know. Thanks.
