I'm currently trying a low carb diet to lose some extra pound (about 100lbs to be exact) and started thinking about reasons I never succeed in these diets. One of them is my lack of motivation, which I'm going to have to overcome on my own.

The second reason is that my cabinets are full of crappy food. I figured that I could fix this one real quick. So I grabbed a box and started putting high carb food in it. Soon, I realized that one box (1.5'x1'x1') wasn't enough. So I grabbed another... and another... and another. I ended up with like 6 cubic feet of high carb food in boxes from my cabinets!!!!

I grew up in a family that always had a pantry full of food, so that is what I had. I have/had food for all occasions and moods. Stuff like noodle salads, rice mixes, muffin mixes, chips, pretzels, popcorn, bread mixes, and a bunch of other stuff. Anything really... and most of it has to go.

So my parents are going to get all this food tomorrow. I'd guess it's close to $200 worth of food. Amazing how much crap I stuffed in these cabinets. :Q

<---- Is now getting serious about shedding these pounds...

good for you for being self-motivated, hope it works out for you...my cabinets are filled with pretty much the same stuff, lots of pasta, oatmeal, pankake mix, etc
