Da Vinci Code Question --Spoiler Spoiler--

SPOILERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

For those that have read the book and had any religious views at all, has the book changed them at all? Yes the book is fiction, all religious books are based on fiction which was selected from some truths. Apparently a study in the UK showed a substantial increase in the amount of Christians who thought Jesus fathered a child. I personally was iffy on Chritian religion, but I have an easier time accepting this alternate relgion than I would of the holy trinity theory religion.

(note I am still athiest)

I think it's changed people to different degrees... I find it personally hard to believe that something like that could not have happened, I just never really considered the possibility (nor a possible aftermath of such a revelation) until i read the book.

Whatever you believe about Jesus, divine or what not and providing you believe he actually walked the earth, who is to say he wouldn't be subject to some human wants and desires (like having a family)?

Where's the spoiler? I was assuming pretty much everyone knew the main crux of the book's premise at this point. Pretty much every media outlet has covered the story for months now. To me it's no worse than a spoiler saying 'oh by the way, the Titanic sinks at the end.'

I don't necessarily think he fathered a child, but if you pay enough attention to Jewish culture from Jesus' time - then its hard to deny that he was most likely married. Scratch that, its infinetely more probable that Jesus had a wife then didn't. And considering he most likely had a wife, the chance that he fathered a child is also quite likely

u know the whole thing is fake right? The priori of sion is NOT real.. it is created by one british person

It was created by one FRENCH person. Dan Brown (Author of the Da Vinci Code) just happened to believe those claims.

Did Jesus have a wife? Did he have kids? I don't know. It's not the MAN people should love, it's the ideas he showed to the world. I believe a man named Jesus Christ existed, and preached stuff like love and goodwill. I don't think he was a god on earth.

british... french.. just a technicality 😛😀

Nope, it didnt change my view at all... I still don't understand why all these religious leaders are so bent out of shape over this book... To me, Jesus fathering a child doesn't make him any less of a God...
