D90 microscope pics

I hooked the D90 up to a low power stereo microscope. Here are couple of my first shots. These are ~2:1 macro. The microscope will go as high as 16:1 with the D90 but the DOF is so small at that using that power is almost pointless.

Some interesting shots...if only Nikon made a lens like the Canon MP-E 65mm 1-5x macro, then you wouldn't need to hook it up to a low power microscope

What a fascinating and incredibly (ir)relevant reply

@OP, interesting shots, but without a sense of scale it's hard to work out how small those things are IRL. Are they pretty tiny?

@OP, interesting shots, but without a sense of scale it's hard to work out how small those things are IRL. Are they pretty tiny?

The spheres are about 0.25-0.5 mm diameter.

That Canon lens costs more than the microscope, the camera adapter, the illuminator, and the flash combined. Looks cool though.
