D6VAA bios problems

I bought this board last week and swapped it into my system. It booted up fine and worked pretty well. My old mobo was an Asus P3V4X. I'm using the same CPU in the D6VAA ( P3 550 ). I had the 550 @ 733 on the Asus for over a year and wanted to try it out on the D6VAA. I read that you have to flash the BIOS to the older version to set the voltage for the CPU(s). I flashed it and it flashed ok. I set the voltage and clocked the bus at 133/33 like on the asus. Wouldnt post !! 🙁 So I turned the bus speed down a bit still no luck. So then I decided to just leave it alone and try again when I get another CPU.

I set it for AUTO detect and it posted normal... but locked when trying to boot after it detects my scsi devices. arrgh. It didnt do this before when I first got it using the new bios 1.2e. So I re-flashed the bios to 1.2e and it boots fine like before. I just can't overclock the damn thing.....

Has anyone else had the same problem ? Would it make a difference if I had two cpus?

here is my setup....

Thanks for the help,
Jon
