D3D disabled, can't go above 640x480 on GF3 Ti200

Recently done a fresh install of Windows 98SE, had problems with the IDE controller so i installed the latest VIA 4in1's. I also had the updated AGP minport driver (4.10) so i installed that after the 4in1's were installed.

Now when i get into windows it gives me an error saying the display adapter is not configured properly or the settings don't work with it. The display properties box appears but i can't get the resolution above 640x480 or the colour depth above 16 colours.

Upon further investigation i found out that D3D has been totally disabled, in the directX dignostics program it says Direct 3D is not available.

I've tried reinstalling the nVidia drivers (27.20) as well as trying the 23.11s and the 23.12s. Tried reinstalling the 4in1's and the AGP miniport driver as well as directX 8.1
Even tried reinstalling Windows but nothing helped.

you can try changing the adapter yourself. Go to the control panel--> display-->settings tab then click the advanced button. Then you should be able to change the adapter.
