Here is a qoute from there forum.
All,

We have suspended the project temporarily so that we can get this statistics issue resolved. It will most likely be resumes early this evening.

You will not be able to upload/download candidates during this time but your client will continue to process candidates it has in it's queue. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email us at info@sengent.com.

Ken

Hmm I hope you guys have canidates qued up. And I hope my 50 I have will be able to hold up.

Well, the node on this machine at work has 56 candidates, that should get me through the day, don't know about the home machines.

I suspect I will go dry on most, if not all, my nodes before they come back up... just think of the deluge when that server comes back up! Yikes!

Boy, am I glad I bumped my two work boxes up to 100 before the weekend. Since I was new, I didn't know how many it would finish in a weekend, so I maxxed it out. I has around 90 or so left in each since the servers went down this morning...

Geoffs and TACO done it. And some newcomers sucking up all the cands... LOL :D You guys are lucky.. I have ZERO cands in all machines due to an internet blackout today on my ISP.. :( I have been low all weekend. Now I have the shakes myself...

Looks like they might have fixed the candidate problem.

cut and paste from their forums

All,

A number of users have reported to us that they are having problems downloading candidates to fill up their queues. I believe we have tracked down the cause of this problem, which were our candidate deployment routines not releasing more candidates to the available candidates bin when it would empty out. We have corrected this problem and this should go into effect once the project is brought back online. Clients that were affected by this problem should begin to fill up their queue as soon as the project is back up but they might not fill up completely for a day or two. I will post back here with any other information that might affect this process.

Ken

Thanks Slatz! :)
Another note from Ken..

All,

We are working to get the statistics pages back up and running correctly asap and narrow down what has caused this problem so that we can correct in for the future.

Carrot, I think this is about the worst server crash Sengent has had...I think the TeAm overloaded it with so many dumps the last few days!!!:D

I too am pretty dissapointed and pissed about it, but I think we need to give it through next weekend at least to make sure this crap isn't going to be happening on a regular basis again (it seemed from some peoples posts that they had a lot of server issues when the project first started)

And we at least owe it to them to see if their fixes actually fixed stuff.

Slatz

and fwiw, I am down to 2 candidates in the queue

I havent had cands for 6 hours but in one machine... the slowest PIII. But hell everyone on the planet who does D2OL is in the same boat. I hope because of some hangups we have run into that you peeps dont get weak. Hell your processors needed a break anyway.. ;) I still say its the best project going, and if I have to be the only member doing it I will carry the team on. But I honestly think I know you guys better, and you will suck this up and drive on. :)

My single home machine will plow on with you MT

And when I get a new computer at work in January...my work machine will happily crunch too.

In Sengents defense, aside from the no weekend coverage, they have done a fairly decent job of communicating that they recognize the problems and are attempting a fix right now...now if they would just hurry up and fix the damn thing :frown:

One home machine is now at 48 and the other is at 36....Thank you for 100 candidate caches! :D

I really wish they'd get it fixed though. They think they have a problem with their stats servers now, wait until they get everyone's dumps!
