D2OL Stats pages are down

If it isn't one thing, then it's another with this project. It looks like they stats pages haven't updated since yesterday at 3:40pm (don't know if that's GMT or what). 🙁 One of my nodes did a big upload this morning so I hope it doesn't get lost.

I noticed the stats pages going down a couple times, but each time, once the dust settled, all my CANDs had been counted...

I installed D2OL on my notebook (Dell PII-366) last night and the node hasn't show up. I was wonder what was up. One thing I noted was that the PII is SLOW! Overnight it only managed to complete 4 candidates.

My PIII 600 averages 18 a day so don't feel bad.

Bunker, I would think that you would get more than that. One of my nodes is a PIII 500, and my daily average (according to DSpy) is 27.7, and this my my daily work computer so it doesn't get full use of the CPU.

I haven't used Dspy, I'm relying on D²OL's stats. Then again, maybe I shouldn't be because that includes days it's been down.

What's the link to Dspy again? 😱

My RedHat 8.0 machine is kicking some butt! I don't think it's on the top nodes list, but it's outperforming many of my Intel boxes of similar processor speed. 🙂

You are doing very well, amongst other people. The only sight that I despise is two DPC guys taking up the top spots.:| We must work harder and take those spots away!!!

Yeah when I am running under Red Hat 8.0 on my machine (Athlon 2000+) I am in the top 5 nodes!

Once I get more parts in we will see about doing just that.... 🙂 Geoffs is doing a great job taking that as well. Ive had some hardware problems and Im working on getting a total of 9 rigs going soon. 🙂

How much RAM is in that laptop? I can produce at lease 4 canidates a day on a Pentium 200 with 32megs of RAM.

Now that the stats are back I can see that I did 8 WU overnight, not the 4 that it originally reported. That is about 1 WU per hour, so that is not so bad. The box has 192 MB of RAM, 64 that the company supplied plus 128 MB that I bought and added.

You guys with the slow machines should try Mandrake... it really helped all mine.. 🙂

You wanna come over and teach my wife how to use Linux? I sure as hell don't!!! 😉

Thanks for the link Vader!

Did I say 1 hour? Well, I started a candidate before walking to the movie theatre. When I returned it was only on Conformer #18! The candidate has 50 Atoms and 9 Rotational Bonds! :Q

The candidate before that one had zero (0) rotational bonds and it didn't hang. Wasn't that the kind that others had problems with? It actually crunched pretty fast.

I don't think I have ever gotten a candidate with that big of a structure 50 atoms :Q

As for the zero rotational bonds..that was the type of candidate that was hanging. I have had one the other day that it also chewed through very quickly.

Dare we think Sengent is making some progress?!?!?

Oh well, I will just keep on crunchin...on the positive side, my work node is back up and crunching after this last update...so win95 machines work again😀
