from Ken at the forum

All,

We will be suspending the project until tomorrow afternoon to correct an issue with our scheduler and give our statistics servers time to catch up and display the stats correctly.

Ken

hmmm...why do I think the project won't resume on a saturday afternoon...guess everyone can crunch something else for a day or two..

LOL!.... they're taking it down instead of letting it crash! :D Well... my queues are full if anyone needs some!

I've just ftp-ed 11 zip files of 100-candidate queues to my server at home. If needed, I can dole them out though email or open up my server for short periods of time at home, or post them on my att webspace. the latter two work better for me because I don't want to keep a server up on my main home machine unattended.

Yea just noticed they are down again.
Wonder if this is what happens every weekend and they just don't tell us that THEY
take it down.

does that mean work will be lost?

or if i have slow box with 100 candidates on it, can i let it run and they will get sent out on monday after the server is back?

i don't want to leave it running if the work is going to disappear :\

No work is lost because it can't be sent :) It's all sitting on your machine.

Geoff..that is the first thing I thought of too...a pre-emptive server crash so it makes them look at least somewhat capable.

I'll try to set up an FTP server on a spare machine sometime tonight or this weekend :)

Each of my two machines burn through approx 115 candidates per day, so I'm going to go run dry in less than 24 hours. If anyone has some work to spare, please send it my way. :D Otherwise, I'll go crunch SoB for a bit.
