Assuming theres no bullshit DRM I'm in.

Also, you could post it in Hot Deals and not be wrong.

Well, I didn't want to double/cross post and get in trouble :)

Oh, they're also having daily specials - looks like two specials per day.

I've bought from D2D before, the only time there's DRM on these is if the original publisher has it implemented.
There are some that do have DRM, but they generally note that in the game info.

You have the issue of D2D having to patch your games. If for some reason they don't distribute the most up to date patch(which does happen), you can't use it.

Cool to see the Penumbra games on there. Maybe more people will try them. Penumbra is, hands-down, the *scariest* survival horror series I've ever played in my life, and it's also a good series in general. Definitely deserves a playthrough.

That trailer is embarrassing though... especially the music. Who the hell thought that song was representative of Penumbra at all?

You have to manually download and install the patches from them, they have a separate section for all the game patches.

At least that's what I did for the Civ IV bundle.

I actually prefer having a hard copy, but at these prices it's hard to argue if it's a decent game.
Also, once you have the download and the key (if needed) you don't have to ever download/re-register it again if you need to re-install (assuming you archived the DL).

Almost like having a hard copy, though you can re-DL if you need too.

They appear to have a new app called D2D Comrade which auto-patches. I've not tried it since I don't trust things like this until tested (and I'm not in the mood to do cleanup if I don't like it). I did finally pick up titan quest (gotta be ready for D3).

I got in on this last year when they turned 5 and had a bunch of $5 sales. Got games like Company of Heroes gold, Supreme Commander gold, and the same Titan Quest Bundle they have up now all for $5/ea.

Even costing an extra $1, the Titan Quest bundle is a lot of fun for your $6.

(Install both and play TQ Immortal Throne, it just adds things into / expands the original TQ.)

Defense Grid is the only game on that list worth buying. I think I paid a buck for it last year on the holiday sale, but it's worth way more than $6.

Well this is riduclous - I went to buy a few and found two I already owned. There are several games I forgot I got on d2d and got again in Steam.

Wonder if any of them can be resold, since I haven't installed them. Probably not, they're probably linked to my login.

I might have to pick it up.

Hmmm, might finally have to pick up Titan Quest, and I've always been intrigued by the whole Tropico series.

Comrade is total POS - I used it earlier this year for 2 weeks because some game installed it. Its not new program, it just wasnt used by D2D untill recently.

Tropico 3 is worth $6 IMO. I already have it though. Not seeing anything really good that I want.

Well I was curious how much I paid for Elven Legacy and the Penumbra collection compared to the $6 price now, and good news, I got them for $5 a year ago:)

Picked up the tank game, and got the 'complete Europa Universalis 3' for the expansions though I have the base game both on Steam and in box, with a pretty big paper manual.

For some reason it just hangs when I tried to download one of the game, but I'm hoping that'll be solved when I reboot later.

Was Elven Legacy worth $6?

FYI I'm having trouble getting Titan Quest activated and D2Ds customer service is useless. I need a "CD Key" I have an Activation key and a multiplayer key (both different lengths than the CD Key) and their customer support keeps pointing me to the keys that I know how to find. I was half expecting this value to be embedded in an ini file but I haven't found it yet.

I got two emails, one each for TQ and TQ:IT sent when I started downloading each one. Those have the key in them, 5 sets of 4 alphanumeric characters.

FWIW, the emails came from do_no_reply@ign.com, maybe check your spam folder.

When you login into your account you can go to your games tab.

There you will have and activation code and a button - "Send Info".
I believe this should be enough to get you going.
