I am trying to get D20L to run on my Gentoo Linux box. I followed the instructions for the install, but now what. Im not sure exactly where it installed to, OR I did not notice a change to the start menu in KDE (yes, Im a bit noobish). Where do I find this program, and how do I start it up? (GUI use prefered) 😱

I am just starting out to learn linux (and getoo's version), but would like to get this running in the meantime.
 
If you are new to Linux, are you sure that you installed the program correctly? Did you build source or use an RPM?
 
Well, I downloaded the GUI (recommended for noobs) file of installDDOL.bin. then I open a shell with root and changed directory to where it was. Then I entered the command sh ./installDDOL.bin. I think I said yes twice which seemed like what I was supposed to do. After that it was supposed to be installed. I went to the website and their forum and couldn't find any info on how to find or use the program when installed. Ive had no luck finding it in the KDE menus or searching around the folders on my computer. I got frustrated and came here for advice, seeing I thought there might be a linux user of D2OL and would have a quick suggestion. 🙁
 
Sorry, have never run D2OL on Linux, so I am of no immediate help. Is there a help file that came with it? You may also want to try these, if you have not already googled.

It kinda sounds like something did not go right in the installation process for you.
