right on.
WHY??
It didnt make any major changes to D2 classic. It added 2 neat classes and one decent Act.
Not to mention a bunch of nifty set, rares, and uniques. But those may have been available with the patches anyway.
umm... because there is a huge body of d2 players that play the game for pvp vaule ONLY? in fact, most everyone i know who was enthusiastic about the game eventually started engaging in pvp sooner or later, except those ladder numbnuts who are only worried about their "fame" no one really gives a fvck about.
as it stands, LoD dueling lacks any balance at all and no really seems to like it, even those who migrated to it. there had been a seizable number of players on classic servers proves it. when it comes to fighting games, bigger and badder isnt always better. D2 classic managed to have an awesome pvp up until 1.07/1.08, and blizzard constantly and blatantly ignored the needs of the gamers demanding better control over pvp like preventing critical abuses like autoaim and pothack and only concentrated penalizing innocous hacks like maphack. with the release of 1.08 they were accused of purposely nuking the classic servers with half-assed patch to force loyal classic players to switch to LoD. I know d2 realms are not paid service like MMORPG games, their tech support and online gaming management leaves a lot to be desired. I no longer play since any pub dueling game is rigged with teaming up townguarding pot chugging hackers. most everyone worth dueling quit already anyhow.
