Is it just me or is Diablo 2 about as addictive as crack? I deliberately avoided Everquest and Asheron's Call to avoid getting hooked on a serial adventure like this, and D2 has me but good.

I have not even played online much yet - the singleplayer game has me hooked. I wish you could save more often and preserve your entire game (with dungeons and monsters intact) because some of the quests take a LONG time and you are pretty well hosed if you leave in the middle, but if anything that just makes it more addictive - grrrr!

yeah same here. I just leave the game on in the background.. Hopefully your system is stable enought to leave it up for a few days. :)

I know what you are saying. I already beat the game on Tuesday with a level 28 Barbarian, and now I'm into ACT II again with a level 14 Amazon. After I beat it with the Amazon, I'll probably play through the Nightmare and Hell modes with both characters. Plus I've been playing Open Battle.net multiplayer with one of my friends who uses a Necromancer. I always say, "OK I'll clear ONE more area" at like midnight, next thing I know its 2:30 in the morning and I'm saying the same thing.

The thing that always brings me back to Diablo is finding stuff! And now that D2 has SO MUCH stuff to find with all the Gems, Socketed Items, Magic Items, Rare Items, Unique Items, and Set Items. I already have a lot of cool stuff but I want more!!!!

Yes I coudln't agreed more. Despite the troublesome problems for people and ugly graphic, once you get started, you can't stop!

Yeah!

a game withpout any depth whatsoever, and you just keep going, only surfacing to sell the worthless stuff you acquired.
