I have heard of D-sub to component video cables, these do exist right? Anyways, if so, can I hook my media computer up to my TV(which has component inputs, but is not HD, so no progressive scan)? Is there anything in the Nforce display drivers that would let me do this? Or am I stuck using the crappy S-Video.

is it progressive scan compatable? some non-hd tv's still support it. if it is, you should get a ati video card with a component adapter and you would be able to run the tv at a 720x480p.

that would look great.

You probably need a Transcoder if want to keep your graphics card and it doesn't support component output natively.

Im pretty sure it only supports interlaced. Would 480i then be its resolution? So I should look for a transcoder that does 480i? Also does anyone know of an ati card that works with one of those HD outs that is pci and pretty low profile?

Yes, thats it. AFAIK, none of ATI's PCI cards support component output. I'm not sure that the difference between 480i s-video and 480i YPbPr would be worth the trouble actually.

even the PCI 9200 doesnt support it, crap. Does ATIs onboard video on their motherboards support it?
