D-Link Router Issue

The DSL works fine on it's own, when I hook up the D-Link router (WRH-2310) it works, then it stops working, and doesn't want to start working again unless I go threw the entire config process again. Then it'll work again, and after maybe 2-3 hours will screw up again. DSL is AT&T Yahoo, the basic account. Router is being set up the same I've set up a dozen other people in the area. I'm guessing it's a bad router(?) but what else could it be that I'm not thinking about?

 
If it works for at least 2-3 hours, it's not a config issue.
Could be bad cables, NICs, or router getting overheat.
