I've got a D-Link 614+ networking 3 desktops and one notebook (all with D-Link+ cards).

The notebook is in a different part of the house and gets a terrible signal. I'm thinking about adding a repeater and would like to get some opinions as to wheather to get the 800AP+ or the 900AP+.

Comments much appreciated.

Technology wise the 900AP+ is a superior product. It very flexible with many Modes, and removable external Antenna. (Like a good cup of coffee).

The 800AP+ is an Instant Extender.(Like Instant Coffe).

JackMDS,

by instant coffee do you mean that the 800AP+ would be easier to set up?

I don't know that I would use the other features of the 900AP+ but if it were a more effective repeater I would go for it.

please excuse my ignorance and thanks for the help.

The 800AP+ comes as repeater by default. It a little easier to setup.

The 900AP+ has to be configured.

The 900AP+ will not be a better Repeater. However since it has removable Antenna it has the potential to do better if a better Antenna is installed.
