I'm using a D-Link I-604 router. Yesterday my internet became incredibly sluggish and upon further inspection (A speed test) I found out that my average D/L speed was 20 kbits/s, a huge change from my normal 2mb/s. I tried resetting/unplugging the modem numerous times, for varied lengths to no avail. When I unplugged the router and connected my computer directly to the cable modem, the speeds were normal again. This obviously has something to do with the router but I have no clue what. I've tried unplugging it, upgrading firmware, nothing works.
I'm running a substantial computer with Windows XP and 1gig RAM.
It's been fine for years, any ideas as to what would cause such a change?
