D-Link Gaming Router

I've had this router for about a week now. Had a friend staying over at the apartment a couple weeks and he offered to buy it for me as payment for staying. Let me tell ya, this router is pretty sweet. The Game Fuel technology works exactly how it says. After a firmware update it gets even better. Each firmware update that I've seen so far has each been worth it and made a significant change to how things works.

Just my 2 cents if anyone has been eyeing the router.

BTW, only issue I had was with WEP and WPA. However, I haven't tried it since the firmware update, and I'm new to it anyways so it could be me. Other than that, wireless is awesome.

Well I'm assuming you know a lot about networking. So I'll try to make it short. Whether downloading here at my apartment whatever files(linux distributinos, bittorrent, etc.), the internet can really slow down. Testing download speeds when this is going on will sometimes put me at around 300-400kbps, sometimes less. I'm on a 5mb connection. When no one's downloading internet speeds climb right back up to around 4.7-5mb. Now, I can notice the lag when playing games and what not when this happens, even just surfing the web.
Got this router and and messed around with the Game Fuel techy stuff, and it sure as hell improved performance. Counter Strike pings would sometimes climb up to 600, and with the router it brought it back down to 65-80. Managing upload speeds is also an option on the router and that really helps out a lot as well.
Basically this router can better manage the network traffic for me so no matter who's downloading what or moving whatever files, games' don't slow down and the internet keeps running smoothly. I dont' know if that's the technical answer you wanted, but I'm too lazy right now to go look up all the mumbo jumbo and I got class in the morning.
