D-Link DSS-8 Switch

I am thinking about upgrading my network from 10BaseT to 100BaseT, and have found the D-Link DSS-8 on a site for 63 bucks us. Has anyone used this switch, and if so, how was it? Any problems or RMAs?
 
This switch works like a dream -


...but the early revisions of this product were actively cooled (small fan) and I had one of them fail on me, and the switch burned out.

The latest revisions of the same model are passively cooled (no fan) and seem to work great! 🙂
 
I have the 5 port model with a fan, the only thing I don't like about it, is the fan "whines" and it took some time to get used to the noise, but other than that its a nice fast switch, worked a lot better than my 10bt linksys starter kit.

 
I have the DSS-8 and it's a great switch. At a LAN a while back, it fell off the kitchen counter 3 or 4 times and it still works great. It's a tough little thing.
