OK, first off I missed out on the OfficeMax MP3 player special a couple weeks ago so I was kinda bummed :( ... Till I saw this!

Staples this week has the D-Link player for 49.99 after rebates ($20 instant, and $80 mail in from Staples) PLUS there is also the $30 Mail in Rebate from D-Link, so the price would really drop to 19.99! So I was at Staples tonight looking at the player, and asked if they would pricematch the OfficeMax $49.99 price, and the guy said yes, but he would need a Print Out of the Page, or the Flyer. I remember Best Buy had the same special going to. I just tried tonight, and could not find the player on either company's page. I remember people saying they had saved the Office Max pages, or someone had scanned the pages, and put them up somewhere.

So if you take in the OfficeMax (or Best Buy) Flyer/Print Out, get them to Price Match for 49.99 -$20 Instant Rebate, -$30 D-Link MIR, = FREE! ... But wait there's more! then the $80 Staples MIR and presto $80 FREE Dollars!!! Now thats a HOT DEAL!
So does anyone think it'll work? So can someone PLEASE post the OfficeMax page listing the Player for $49.99 or a Scan of the OfficeMax or Best Buy ad? Thank You

p.s.: my first deal/post so please be gentle :)

Oh yeah, forgot, The speacial ends Saturday, so HURRY!!!

You can only do one rebate since you only habe one upc code. I think you would have to be very very lucky to get them to PM the $49.99 price since that was long time ago and does OM even sell this player still? I just got this player for free after rebates, $170 for software+mp3 player-$40 coupon-$20 coupon(product specific)-$80 rebate-$30 rebate=~$0:). I think they're all out of stock on their website though, so good luck finding it in store.

I don't know if the -$80 will work, but I think the free part will. I don't get into the rebate thing much myself. Prefer instant gratification. I used to work at one of Staple's competitors in Michigan, ABC Warehouse. I still do actually, but anyway. We wouldn't honor any of our own rebates without the original UPC code, and many of the manufacturers we dealt with had the same policy. you can't get more than one UPC code, so send it with the Staples MIR and get the $80 back instead of the manufacturer's $30 MIR.

You might be able to swindle Staples for $50, but $80 might be pushing it. Try it, though. Can't hurt can it?

Just my bit of info.

I remember in the OfficeMax thread Someone had contacted D-Link and they said they WOULD take a copy of the UPC Code, So I wasn't to worried about the MIR's, I was just more concerned about someone being able to Post the Ad for the $50 player so I could get them to Price Match it. Hopefully someone kept it!!!

NM, found it. This seems like a stretch, unless someone can dig out a reciept of some sort. Reciept would definitely help.

Everytime I want pricematch something anywhere, I feel like I'm twisting someone's arm with visegrip or something, stores are always trying to get out of pming stuff.

Rebate here but you need to send the original UPC so there is no way to do this and the Staples rebate and it also says: "This offer cannot be combined with any other offer"
