I just replaced my linksys b wireless router with d-link di-624 g router.
Now everyday my connection will alwas get cut off and I will have to restart the router for the wireless connection to be available again.
What I mean with cut-off is that I get full signal but I can't connect to the network. I can see the network name but can't connect to it.

Help please??

Thanks a lot!!

Do you have a password set up? Once I kept entering the wrong password, but Windows wouldn't flatout say it was wrong, so I could never figure out what was wrong.

I did set the password. However, I have the password saved on all the computers on wireless connection so it can automatically connect to the network. However, every now and then I just can't connect even with the password. Sometimes when I'm already online, I just get disconnected and I have to restart the router.

I never had this problem with my linksys router.

Anyone? please help...

I have the firmware version 2.42 and I plan on keeping this one because the newer firmware (2.5) is not compatible with xbox live.
I called in tech support and they pretty much didn't know what to do,
I'm gonna see what happens in the next week or so, if this thing keeps going on, I'm just gonna rma this thing in.

Is this for real? I bought this router because the reviews were good.
I can't take it back to the store since I cut out the upc bar for rebate... DOH!!!

Oh well, I upgraded the firmware to 2.5 and hope there will be no more problems.

the harware itself is actually very nice, its d-link's inability to release stable firmware that is your problem

If you replaced it with a Netgear, Linksys, SMC, yada yada yada, you'd have almost an exactly equal chance of getting a good piece of hardware as well as the same chance to get a bad one. Throw a dart, toss a coin, whatever you want to do. THey are all basically identical in performance and reliability. What's different varies from device to device, not really Mfg to Mfg. Features. What could be different is support, both technical, firmware revisions etc...
