D-Link DI-624 only supports 10mbps?

So I'm using some netgear router, but it drops constantly so I decide to switch to the DI-624. It's good, drops very rarely, but I've noticed that download speeds have been subpar. On the PCPitstop download tests, I would get download speeds of 4000+kbps. Now when I switch, I only get about 1000 kbps. When I called up optimum online, they said that it was my router and that it only supposed 10mbps, not the 10/100. I looked the specs up and it said that this router had the 10/100 WAN, so I'm confused. Did I configure something on the router to make it this slow?

Any help is appreciated, thanks

I do not get it, your previous Download was 4Mb/sec. and a 10Mb/sec. WAN is not enough for 4Mb/sec. Internet account?

As for the Router, assuming that the specific unit is Not defective, look at the Router MTU and make sure it is similar to the old Router.

Most Routers have an entry for MTU.

Cable Internet's MTU is usually 1500.

I do not have a D-Link624 so I can not tell you where to look for the MTU setting.
