D-Link adapter problems

So I installed a D-Link USB adapter for my wireless internet on my desktop yesterday and it works great. The problem seems to come when I leave the computer just sitting there for more than 30 minutes. When I return to the computer it's frozen and the link light on the adapter isn't lit up. Can anyone help me?

I'm using the adapter with the model number DWL-G122 if that helps.

The whole computer is frozen, or just the network adapter? If it's the former, I'll need to know the specs of your box to help.

Welcome to AnandTech Network Forum.

Take a look at the Card's configuration (usually in the drivers? properties).

Make sure that the Power Conserving is NOT on. Wireless cards lose their bearing if they are set to save power.

My whole computer freezes. My specs are:

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
512MB PC2700 RAM
160 and 80GB hard drives
Leadtek 6600GT AGP
450W PSU

And I have a foxconn motherboard.
