Damnit! Woke up this morning and turned on the laptop, and kept getting odd results downloading from the web -- not connecting, stuff was slow, etc. Ran a few tests and noticed that I was associating at 1mb/s most of the time. Bah. :|

Grabbed a second laptop, booted it up, and got the same results. Ok, looks like the router is going bad (D-link 713p). I happened to have a spare router (was about to setup wireless for a Cafe), so I plugged that in (Dlink-614+), and everything is working nicely now, though reception isn't quite as good (wondering if that is a one antenna vs. two issue).

Anyway...bah. Just out of warranty, too. Any recommendations for a new router at a decent price? Was considering the Dlink 614+ (setup on that is much nicer than the 713p was), but I'm not 100% positive that I want to stick with Dlink, as this is the second router from them that has gone bad on me.

One nice thing about the D link 713P is the fact it has a serial port for modem backup.....most newer routers are too cheap to have that.

I am currently using a 713P but plan on upgrading to the G standard when prices bottom out.
