D-link 7100AP

Does anyone has/had D-link 7100AP access point(s)?
I'm wondering about best-scenario real throughput in point-to-point link between these two, using 11a and turbo mode.
I read that turbo mode in 11a does actually increase throughput ~2x, toping at ~46mbps,
but I've failed to find any tests with this AP.

I do not think that there is a Turbo 802.11a Mode.

The 802.11SuperG mode would do about 42Mb/sec. at 6 - 20feet clear line, and would decline as you increase the distance.

With plain 802.11g (2100AP) I get ~23mbps "on the table", when working at 1Km (24dbi antennas) I get ~13mbps.

So I assume expecting ~25-30mbps on the same distance with these 7100AP (11a) and 29dbi directional antennas is reasonable.

802.11a is similar in bandwidth to 802.11g, and it actually travles less than 802.11g

29dbi Antenna is not much stronger then 24dbi.

You can "milk" so much from a 33mW trnasmitter, you probably are lucky that you get 13mb/sec. at 1km.

If you use the 802.11G super on both sides you probably would get 3-5 mb/sec. more.
