You're an idiot Sand Eagle.

You have no idea why they were arresting him. You have no idea if he was innocent, or what had just happened.

The policed asked him to stop. They finally collared him, and he resisted arrest, so they tased him. Nothing wrong with that, and completely standard SOP. You don't want to get tased, come along quietly and don't cause issues.

After that, the cops kept their cool, were gentle, and ignored all the taunting and issues caused by the crowd. They allowed the rerecorder to record, and merely asked him to stand back a bit. They didn't get into an altercation with the crowd.

Perfect police behavior. You couldn't ask for anything better.

excuse me, but please refrain from name calling. it just shows how shallow your character is, that is all. i didn't upload the video. i didn't title it either. maybe a cop hating fuckhead uploaded it. but in the end, i blame YouTube for allowing this material to be publicly available for us to view. We should never be able to know what's going on out there. :\

According to the video, what's going on is the police were looking for somebody, that somebody resisted arrest, and everyone there started to interfere w/ the police and cause a scene, screaming a bunch of crap at that the top of their lungs. For all we know the guy was being arrested for taking a dump next to a tree in the park.

I guess since everyone is ignoring them they take any attention they can get.

I just had a brilliant idea for an invention that police forces could buy. A taser with built in pepper spray. It tases and pepper sprays at the same time.

It will be called the Unoccupier 9000 XL. The XL part just makes it sound cooler, it does not actually mean anything.

how about a 9mm with 4 switches: one for real bullets, one for rubber bullets, one for taser, one for pepper spray. and a built in micro-camera and mic. people would think twice before killing or getting killed. just my .03 cents

That would be cool too. Everyone backs off as the officer flicks a tiny little switch on this gun, not knowing what mode it's been set to. :awe:

I don't know what the idiot do to deserve a taze. More than likely he deserved it; and wouldn't fault the police had they killed a few of those retarded protesters, in fact I would welcome it.

that's why you either number them or color code them, to avoid confusion and accidental deaths

lol, alright Occupy morons, I don't care how right you are: "DON'T STRUGGLE WITH THE COPS!" This is not V for Vendetta. Here we have a legal system for you to challenge things. If you get physical with the cops, they will quite legitimately kick your ass. You have a problem with being arrested/removed? Think you're innocent? Good! They'll provide you with a lawyer, or you can get one, since you apparently have the money and time to go camping, and you can tell it to a jury and/or judge.

the problems not the occupiers, it's the effect, of the way this country's morale is, and the economy.. it will only get worse before it gets better.... in college we learned that democracy progresses to aristocracy, and then the cycle repeats.. that's where we are, it's about to get flipped upside, down, we're an aristocracy right now, no longer a democracy..

Huh?

They tazed him because he was resisting arrest.

You have to have probable cause to arrest someone. Trying to arrest someone without it is a no no. And resisting arrest when they dont have probable cause is not resisting arrest.

If they didn't have probable cause, the arrest and tasering were illegal. The issue is, we don't know why they were arresting him. I am sure they are going to say disorderly conduct.

And the female police officer was way to quick at tasering the guy. Shes going to get retraining whether or not there was probable cause.

Here is what happened: Police woke him up trying to get inside his fort. They threw a notice in his tent, and he threw it back. This volley went on for a bit, then he got out. He tore down 2 flyers and the police said to stop or he would be arrested. He stopped, then took the 2 flyers he tore down and threw them in the trash, that is when the police started to follow him. He had barely even been awake for 5 minutes when he got tazed. Like the comment so others can read what happened. -OccupyDC

They were likely trespassing and told to GTFO or face arrest. Guess what they chose?
