What causes déjà vu?? I'm about to go insane, I swear to god I've had at least 10 feelings of déjà-vu today... usually it's like once every few months. But today I don't know what's happening but I've had deja-vu's all day long. And the weird thing is that I feel like I have dreamed about those things, instead of feeling like I've already lived them. I get all kinds of flashes. Damn this is so crazy.

Has it ever happened to you?

I don't experience it often but when it does happen it happens a lot of times in a row. But I can't say that it has happened ten times in a day, that is quite a few

I wish we knew what caused it. I only get it a few times a year, and I can remember one time last year, I was running with some temmates, and suddenly I realized that I remembered having this particular conversation with them before. I even knew what one kid was going to say before he said it. It freaked me out.

I thought I saw my cat meow once. But after 5 minutes, I saw it meow in front of my face. Is that deja vu or what?

Are you able to CONFIRM that you did it before or not? Because some times I will have a feeling that I've done something before but have no idea why and other times I will have the déjà vu feeling but I can confirm when it happened (usually about 1 month ago where I did the exact same thing in the same order).

I had something wierd happen once. I had a dream about a month before a new orleans trip that the girl i had been seeing would get back together with her ex. It made me dread the trip to new orleans, and then the day came, and she did get back together with him the same day as i had dreamed a month ago. Meh, coincidence tho, probably saw signs and i dreamed about it, date just happened to be at the right time.

Yo I had deja vu today that was so strong and it went on for like 5 minutes honestly I just felt WEIRD inside like I knew what was going on and I know for a fvcking fact I didn't dream about it because:

1. I don't have dreams at all... actually, RARELY! And I remember them very well when I do...
2. I never dream about listening to music while IMing friends from home...
3...
4. Profit.

It was INSANE!!!!!!!!

The current favored hypothesis is that it is indeed a glitch, but in our brains. Something gets processed into short term memory, but we become aware of it for some reason. In effect we are recalling the memory we just created before it's fully processed.

Same here, when they do happen, they are grouped together.
