hey, i'm (zx2dave that is. i really should stick with one nickname shouldn't i?) happy to help, especially now with eccp done. i need something for my comp to do when it's idle.
one thing though, since i've installed d2ol my comp at work has started restarting randomly. it's done this before but never as frequently as it is now with d2ol running. it's running win 2k and i just installed sp3 in a hail mary sort of way to try to solve the problem. tonight i'll go home and see if my home comp has the same problem.

Sounds like its overheating to me. 100 percent cpu utilization will max it out temp wise. Welcome to the Team!

Its great to have you on the team Maharaja. I've heard before that if a computer has an instability problem some DC programs can really highlight that already existing problem because they stress the computer so much.

i could certainly understand if it's a heat problem. my comp isn't in a particularly well ventilated place and being an office computer, it's not packed with any fans. actually now that i'm paying attention i don't even hear any. probably nothing but a fan over the cpu and the fan in the power supply.

i'm gonna let it run over the weekend (my weekend anyway since i work from sunday to thursday) and since i don't have it set to load at start, i'll know if the comp restarts on its own. wish me luck everyone! 😀

looks like someone forgot me... i didn't get announced; oh well.
i will be adding a few comps here and there.
i do have a few questions though:
1) how do i remove a node?
2) how do i install d2ol on a non-gui freebsd box? or is it not possible?

----edit----
I was able to change my user to WarriorX

Thanks for the kind welcome, TeAm! 🙂

Hopefully this AthlonXP 2200+ will be able to help crunch some numbers, and I'll install D2OL it on my other computer, only a PIII 733mhz, but hey, every bit helps right?!

welcome aboard tbates!
hey my office comp is a P3 733mhz! of course my lowly athlon 1.2ghz home comp is no where near as powerful as that athlonxp. i guess i'll be seeing you pass me pretty soon! :|
