Yeah... I skipped a day because nobody seemed interested in the D2OL stats anymore... :(

Actually I would like to know why everyone left. I don't visit the board for a few days and come back to find the team has disappeared.

A bunch of folks moved over to TSC, I'd assume because we weren't really being challenged in D2OL, and the support for TSC looks better. I'll probably put D2OL on my next system, and just let it crunch, and not worry about it, though. I still like the project, but removed most of my resources when they couldn't get food, and haven't moved them off of DF. I tend to shuffle between projects, anyway.

The TeAm doesn't disappear, we just reallocate resources... ;)

Some of us switched over to TSC, a project similar to D2OL and one which needs a great boost to the TeAm. We have a huge lead in D2OL and this being a worthy project has huge potential. It also crunches about 30 percent faster.. :)

Some of us just have finals and need the processing power for other things ;)

I haven't left either, just moved many over to the other project. If there is any interest, I will continue posting the stats. It was just that for a few days the post didn't get a single bump so I figured nobody was interested in it. I still have 4 or 5 CPUs on the project.

:( I'm still going to run this project. Most of my relatives aren't in Asia at the moment, but my girlfriends mom, dad, litttle brother and sister are over there.. so I really hope this project will amount to something soon. Not just for personal reasons either tho, it really sux that so many people are being affected by it over there. I'm not saying that TSC is a bad project or anything, actually, it's a great project. I'm just going to stick w/ D2OL for a while and hopefully the SARS issue will lead to some results :)

I wasn't so irritated at people leaving; it is in fact a free country (supposedly) and you can do what you wish. I was more perturbed with the "move the Baltimore Colts to Indianapolis in the middle night of the night method" that was used. A few months ago there was some discussion of having a TeAm discussion of where to go and I quite frankly didn't expect a mass exodus without maybe, well, some warning, rather than the "we are all over here now" messages that showed up here.

Ok, I'm done whining. :)

Actually we had made posts about it within the stats pages over several days, and over a period of about 10 days people one by one made a decision to move over. It wasnt some overnight exodus.

My only remaining goal for the project is to get my 15104 node past the 5k mark - that'll be in a few days. ;)

Aside from that, my only other real DC goal is to crest the 30k mark in SETI.
