hehe seems like the 1mil mark is going to be a day sooner every time stats are posted which would make the REAL date,, 3 days from now?

heh... I swapped out an Asus CUBX running a Tualatin Celeron 1.1A @ 1.4g with 372Mb ram running Win98SE and replaced it with an Abit KR7A-RAID running and XP1600+ with 256Mb ram running Win2K Pro... same hd, vidcard and nic.... the new rig is currently crunching at twice the rate of the old one

It seems AMD processors crunch this data a lot faster than Intel ones.. at least in my limited experience.

My tualatins did quite well on D2OL, certainly not half what the AMD are doing.

According to this place CPU scorecard a 1.3 duron outperforms a 1.7 celeron at stock speeds. The celeron is probably a better overclocker though. $53 for the celeron, $53 will get you an XP1700+ I would take the XP anyday. $35 for the duron is a bargain.
