Thanks for the stats.

Just got my new iBook today. :D I really needed a notebook that wasn't owned by someone I work for.

Now the question is, how bad is it to run a CD project on a notebook 24/7?

I run CDs on my notebook all the time. ;)

As for DC projects... I think it is pretty safe to run them on a NB. You might want to remove the battery though. Maybe you can ask over in the SFF/Notebook forum.

Hahaha CDs. Heck I better be able to run CDs. :p

I will try and get over to the SFF/Notebook forum and see what they have to say. :)

Thanks as always GeoffS.

Quick question for all you D2OLers. I am running D2Ol on a AMD 2100, Asus a7v333 with 512 DDR. This computer also has an ATI AIW 8500 recording TV shows that she requires. Several times now the record function doesn't work. Anyone know of any known issues between the two?

Priorities are set correctly, D2OL is lowest and the TV thing, ATI MMC.exe, is set normal. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Bob

I have that happen occasionally too, (AIW 9600). I found that when it happens it?s either that MMC didn?t close out correctly when I set the recording times so when the recording starts there would be 2 instances of MMC loaded and neither one would initialize the video. (most common reason for me). The second thing I found was or for some reason ATIsched.exe wasn?t loaded.

This seems to happen more with MMC 8.X version than it did with the AIW Radeon I had using MMC 7.6. Check task manager and make sure that MMC is closed and ATIsched.exe is running after you set your recording times.

In my case D2ol didn?t have anything to do with the problem but I do notice that I have a few more dropped frames when it?s running. Less than 1% so it?s not really noticeable.
