Thanks Pete, I got 450 in today before I lost the HDD for the first time.. 🙂 I will have to wait for a new controller to come in.. and maybe a drive or two.. 🙁 We have some power houses running now so that one node down wont hurt us much.. 🙂

In case you guys read this I wanted to let you know why I've been silent. My cable connection is giving me fits! I can hardly us it. I've had to power cycle it numerous times per day. I called ATTBI and they reset the line and ran a few tests. They of course want to say it is my computer. I guess it is possible it could be the WAN port on my Linksys Router/Switch. I am headed back to the airport for a second try on my flight to Detroit. I hope to get the issue fixed over Thanksgiving week, the next time I'm home.

I am able to run SETI because I have a personal proxy/queue to feed WUs to the stranded machines. This also gives me one place to have my wife check for problems. That only happens when I have her on the phone and ask her to check it for me. She has been instructed on how to power cycle the modem. So, wish me luck!

Since I now work for ATTBI I would come out and take a look at it for you. But the trip from Michigan to Georgia would be a killer.😉

Been having the same problems with my Netgear RT314... I have to reset it 10 times a day at least. Ive heard that our routers have problems with Surfboard modems... which is what Im running. How about you?
 
MT, I have the LinkSys BEFSR41. My cable modem is a 3Com (USR) brand, It looks like a shark fin, but I don't know what model it is.

It worked great for about 1 year, now all of a sudden it is giving me trouble. I have noticed that they changed the DNA addresses recently and wondered if they had made some other changes that would cause my problem? 😕 & :disgust:

What I wanted them to do was to allow me to bring in the cable modem and exchange it. But, they said that they couldn't do that because only the service techs (in the trucks) had equipment. I am a bit concerned what they will say if they come out and find all the stuff connected to my cable. Any ideas?

Why can't you just disconnect everything? Just because you have the stuff to hook multiple computers up does not mean they can cur your service for it. 😉
