D²OL: New client availible

Just clik on about and it should show version 01.01.02 on Windows machines. I havent seen any download updates for it, and nothing at all for Linux machines as of yet. Candidate servers appear to be down too.

Does anybody know what problems this update can cause (if any) yet? My production appears very low for how many dual processor nodes I have crunching. I manage them all remotely in file controller mode so I can't check any gui for software levels.

Another thing; I normaly spot a problem node when the user calls me to report he has no space left on his drive. I then check the size of the d2ol install and it's 3 or 4 gigs so I do the normal cleaning procedure. What advice can anyone offer on this so I can spot stuck candidates or whatever.

Are these guys fricken' morons? Most of their vollunteers are on holidays at the moment, surely away from many of the machines that will possibly hang during the update process, and they are doing an automated update? DUH! They will probably go ahead and release the new candidates too... sheesh...

The update is a small download took about 5 min on dialup, 1meg tops. Went very smoothly. No candidates at all are being issued right now. My rigs are running dry. One is folding proteins.

I'm with ya there Geoff. This is all we need with our current goal!!

I'm going to try and stop and restart the machines hopes it will do some good, but it apparently will not with what Ken just mentioned.

yeah, what a huge pile of crap! My box is folding now. If it continues like this we can't do it... ARGH!!! :|
