I'm building a cheap PC for an 8 year old out of various bits I can scavenge (to replace her 486/25). I know the 686 (pre MMX) is a nasty processor by today's standards, but it's free and it's better than a 486/25!
I have a motherboard (an early Abit AT) but the voltage jumpers do not tie up with the positions they should be in, according to any of the information I have been able to find on the net. If I can find out what voltage the 686 needs and which pin is Vsupply, I can run the motherboard without the CPU and adjust the voltage to suit.
