Cyperpunk 2077

Nice. There is a thread, somewhere, but it's buried for lack of info. Good to hear, because this currently is the only forthcoming game that interests me

I'm definitely expecting 'news' and media for it this year... at some point. But I'm not expecting the actual release for this year, probably late 2019 if we're lucky. This time I hope they won't show some sort of a "tech demo" build with hyper visual fidelity, I still remember that stuff from pre-release of Witcher 3 and the downgrading controversy that followed. They don't need that and they shouldn't provoke a new one. They just need to wait until they can show us the actual game itself in motion in the state that they intend to release it.

I'm excited for the game, but I'll probably treat it like I did with Witcher 3. Buy it on sale, wait about six months, then play it after it's had a few runs of patches through it so I get a seemingly flawless experience for my first time. There was a lot of complaining going on when Witcher 3 first released from bugs and other graphics issues, but by the time I played the game, it was flawless through and through. I only encountered one bug and it was a monster den in White Orchard which didn't affect the game at all.

Should have been released by now in 2018. Going on three years since the Witcher III. They have the cash and they have the talent, let's not wait a decade.

There is literally no new information on the forums. Just people speculating about *gasp* the tweet.

Since it was the twitter account that saw action and not the forums, that's what I linked.

They will likely and hopefully they will show a demo this summer on games event ( what's it called E3?)

there is some info on YouTube, mostly about ex-CDPR employees talking about how that place is a sweatshop with nepotism and managerial butt-licking.

There's sweatshops all over the world. Can't make me feel bad for enjoying a quality product.

There were some small online boycotts going on around the time The Witcher 3 was being released because the same information was leaked. Something about the managers required 80 hour weeks and would scold employees for taking bathrooms breaks. The usual horror stories. In the end, we got one of the best action RPGs to date, so given the quality of the products released from CDPR, I'm assuming those employees who work those long hours are paid well enough that they took pride in their work to make a flawless game. If the working conditions over at CDPR were as horrible as people make it sound, it would be a far different game.

Let them wear diapers!
