Office Depot has these on clearance for 59.99....maybe lower in your area....thay are all sold out around here...DFW, Texas that is....

yeah, these have been on clearance for awhile, i've heard mixed reviews on them, anyone have one now?

IMO....I thought they were a great idea....but priced to high for the market (kids) they were trying to attract. And they were really ugly.....I think the company that makes them could make a good product if they redesigned it....and made it a bit smaller....they tried to cram too much stuff in the unit. Would be a nice alternative for IM in the cube farm.

I got one free through StartSampling.com.

The apps on it are okay. I guess I'm just not anywhere where I can use the RF network, which is what I'm really interested in since I used to study/design online chat apps. Maybe I'll try taking the thing to a sporting event or something some time and see if anyone else is using one.

My kids are begging me to give it to them. At least, my 9 year old daughter is. My 16 year old son shows not interest in it. I guess I'm trying to figure out who would have the most use for it and where other users would be.

I haven't even used the serial link to connect it to the PC yet.

My perception of this thing is that it's just a toy for kids without a real user base to make it popular and no way to really establish one. I don't think it'll be around long.

Just every once in a while on Start Sampling they had a sample of the Cybiko available. I got lucky and hit the site when it was available... several weeks later a purple cybiko showed up in the mail!
