Copy and pasted from slickdeals. I think the cpu alone was going for $320 from microcenter.
CyberPowerPC custom build - liquid cooled 7800X3D starting at $849. Today only
I am not in a position to buy yet another computer, but this deal is good enough for those that like customizing stuff and perhaps those people can take advantage.
This is NOT a one-click purchase, you have to tweak things to get a good configuration & some will be better priced than others.
Steps:
Start here: https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/AMD-Mainstream-Gaming-PC-Configurator - starting price is $1009
Customize the video card, choose RTX 3060 - this will drop the price to $779
Go to Extra Instant Rebate (2nd item of Core Components), click the Extra Instant $100 off - this will drop price to $679
Go to CPU and choose Ryzen 7 7800X3D - this will bump it up to $849
So what do you get for $849? A liquid-cooled Ryzen 7 7800X3D desktop PC, with 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB SSD, crappy graphics card and 600 Watt PSU in a nice looking case with a 1 year warranty. Oh, you can also get a free mouse pad.
That is the basics. What other things to add / tweak (but increase price):
Free mouse pad (in Fall Featured Promotions)
RAM - up it to 32 GB (+$90)
Power Supply - the 600W PSU is good enough for up to an RTX 5060 Ti. Choose an appropriate one for your desired GPU. Some options: 850W High power (+$34) or 1000W Standard with PCIE 12+4 pins ($69).
Maybe upgrade the liquid cooling to 360 mm / 3 fans (there are 2 +$10 options) if you expect to upgrade the CPU in the future.
Even with the above, you're getting a custom build PC within shouting distance of $1000; and since you can customize the PSU, you can plan for future GPU upgrade.
