CyberPower UPS problem *Solved*

Problem:
I just bought a CPS575SL from CyberPower but have a little problem.

If I try to connect to the internet more then 1 time all I get is a message wanting my modem to redial.

I then have to restart and its fine for the next time but any time after that and it goes south again.

Solution:
I pluged the Serial cable connection to the bottom serial port on my mobo when i had the problem. I just plugged it into the top one and its running like a dream now.

I should have mentioned this to clarify

I hooked my phone cable from my modem to the UPS and then from that to the wall like it shows to protect the phone line

Should I just unhook it and use the wall?

Yes, and if the problem still occurs then it isn't the UPS at fault. 😉
