COSTCO usually has higher powered ones (like 1350VA) for a $100, just a heads up...

They do, but it is for a different series (the non-PFC Sinewave series).

sorry just dupped this post on accident, and yea costco has everything cheaper but guess whY? they use subquality parts. Example, (two identical toothbrush type make,) costco version had nimh batteries retail store was lithium.. So they do things to cut costs etc. u use this same one as this one but not sure if its any good, it does seem to work when power goes out.

Hmm, my Costco higher powered one lasted several years, I just exchanged the battery recently. It was good while the original battery lasted, after the battery replacement it seems good as well. So mine was not sine wave (1350AVR), so granted this may be a better deal. I wonder what shape wave they produce from these? square or triangular? Anyway, when the battery is good, it sustains my system beautifully, had no issues so far...
Edit: I just saw the AVRs are "simulated sine wave", so probably close, but you get a somewhat "dirtier" version, with some harmonics.

Does the sinewave only matter when running on batteries during an outage or power dip?
