Hi Everyone,

A friend of mine pointed Anandtech out as an excellent resource for computer related stuff. I'm trying to configure and buy a computer as soon as possible. I've never built one before and am leery of starting now because this machine is needed asap. I'm considering buying a custom system from Cyberpower. I'm posting the configuration below.

-This computer is required to do a lot of numbercrunching, cpu-intensive stuff and moderate gaming.
-Aiming for ~$1250, not including monitor or peripherals.
-Will be buying in the US
-no brand preferences
-I've done a lil bit of research/reading, not a lot :p
-might overclock in the future

Overpriced from CyberPower, fine for building on your own. I'm not sure about ordering from them, I heard that they have reliability issues with DOA parts, but oh well... Better than ordering from HP or something ($500 for a 8800GTS 640MB *shiver*)

How much would you estimate the cost of the components at? The reason I ask is, I was trying to price out a similar system on Newegg, and it ended up being close to $1275. Should I be looking at different vendors?
