Not really hot so much as warm, but my local BB (Reno) has the CyberHome CH-300S for $34.99 after Mail-in Rebate. It's a nice little player, doesn't do DivX but it handles non-standard VCDs/SVCDs fairly well, and can be made region free. The only gripe I really had is that it doesn't do a proper aspect ratio conversion when converting Anamorphic (16:9) PAL, so the image gets "stretched". Beyond that it's a nice little straightforward DVD player.

i regretingly bought one of these and promptly returned it to best buy for a samsung for $20 bucks more.

The samsung does something the cyber couldn't, finish playing movies without freezing or studdering.

I'd stay clear of this one.

Best Buy had it for $29.99AR last week.

yukichigai - Look on the bottom of your unit. Did you get the 300/I or 300IS? I believe this version is known to have PAL conversion issues. Try a 300Z instead (They're all sold as the 300S by Best Buy)

I've had one of these units for almost a year now, works very well. Although just recently, I've noticed that occasionally it gets a little bit loud as the disc spins up

I got one of these about a month ago. No problems at all. Nice "little" player.

my cousin nabbed one of these guys many light years ago. he got it at a radio shack during those thanksgiving 3 day super sales. it was priced at 39.99 but a rebate brought it down to 29.99. its not a bad player but it doesnt support a lot of videos burned from my computer
