Cyber Monday itch - upgrading my SSD is this worth it?

$130 WD Blue 1TB SSD

I have a ~4 year old system with an old Samsung 128gb SSD + 1TB 7200 and I'm starting to run into real issues with the former in terms of space. I can basically install 1 game, maybe, before it gets really low, and I've already cut down my Adobe products to bare minimums I use. I'm also running Win7 Ultimate.

I'm not ready for a system (hardware) rebuild nor do I need it at this time, but I do need a larger SSD. I'm also ready to move to Win10, which is a secondary question (according to https://www.zdnet.com/article/heres-how-you-can-still-get-a-free-windows-10-upgrade/ the free upgrade still exists).

For the SSD part, would you jump on this?

It seems like the answer to your question would be yes.

As to the other question, I've seen several people still upgrade to Windows 10 for free in the Windows forum.

Although I've seen other 1TB drives for less lately, and right now you can get the 1TB Samsung 860 for $127.98.

I'd personally buy that drive if it's around the same price of other drives. Now if the Western Digital 3D Blue or the Crucial MX500 were significantly cheaper, I would have no issue buying one of those. However, Samsung is the largest SSD manufacturer and I would go with their products when the pricing is what it is right now.

Sick find on the Samsung, thank you. I will say I like my current Samsung EVO, just too small.
