CVS Question?

I'm helping some people out with a website and were all in different parts of the country and i think CVS would be a great thing for us to use, but im not sure how to impliment it. Were all using Windows computers to connect to the web hosting. How would you implement CVS in this, I downloaded wincvs, do i just connect to the server, or is there files on the server that I have to put on it?

Pretty much I think i can figure out the client end of things, what do i have to do for the server end if anything at all?

You're talking about the server being the webhost? Do they offer cvs hosting? You actually have to have cvs (server) installed on some machine on the internet for this to work. Otherwise, you can look for cvs hosting elsewhere or run something out of your own home.

At my work we are starting a big project to get a CVS type solution in place. The old CVS isn't developed anymore, so you probably don't want to go that route.

Take a look at Subversion on the server-side, then TortoiseSVN for your Windows boxes. I've not tested either yet, but they come highly recommended.
