Hi
I mostly do my own car repairs. I have a my garage set up with the right tool. A few days ago I started having clicking noise while turning so I went ahead and checked my CV joints and both had their boots torn. So I got New CV joints and replaced the old ones.
My car is a Chery QQ and it has been altered quite a bit including the engine.
Now the wheel hub on the left side is not my cars genuine wheel hub. It belongs to a Old Suzuki Khyber and I got the original CV Joint for that side and it is working fine.
On the right side my car has its own wheel hub and the CV joint for that side is not available where I live. So what I do every time is buy a Chevy Joy's CV joint take out the Ball bearings and everything else from the inside and take my cars own CV joint and do the same and insert the New Joy's CV joints internal parts in my cars own and then put everything in place. I do this because the out side part of the Joy's CV joint does not fit into my Wheel Hub.
It always works fine but this time after only about 1400 KM the right side has started clicking again now the problem is that I also hit my car on a bump pretty bad and the right side is the only side that clicks upon making hard right and left turns a little fast.
Can that CV joint be damaged from the bump or fail this quick or something went wrong in replacing the inside parts?
NOTE Clicking is happening turning both left and right but the sound is only coming from the RIGHT
