I hope someone can help...I posted a reply in another CUV266 thread about my experience with the CUV266, but I wanted to start a new thread asking for help.
I recently picked up the CUV266 after reading a lot of reviews on this site and others. The problem is that when I got the board, it did NOT have the on-board audio or Ethernet. There's also no chipset in the place indicated, and no jumpers.
I've tried installing a PCI sound card (Creative Ensoniq AudioPCI). Everything seems to install just fine, but I don't hear anything from my speakers. During POST, there are no beeps. On the off-chance I had a bad sound card, I tried installing a different brand, but it didn't work either.
So, does anyone have any ideas just what's going on here? Is there a different version of the CUV266 that I should have picked up instead? After reading the manual, I'm suspecting that I have a 'no-audio' model...if that's the case, what model is the 'audio' model???? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

PS -- Also, does anyone know what to trust? BIOS CPU temperature readings, or the Asusprobe CPU temperature readings? The Asus Probe utility shows a +10c temperature reading over the BIOS reading. Thanks again.
